Print Quality/Resolution of Charts

Post by ResearcherNY » Sat May 19, 2007 4:42 pm

Hello guys..first of all I want to say you guys are doing a Fantastic job with JFreeCharts....its making my research projects much more easier!

I wanted to know if anyone knew how to improve the print/resolution quality of the Charts. I know that the chart images are usually saved in .png format (which is generally low resolution in nature). I want to print out my charts on high quality paper and wanted to know if I can increase the resolution/print quality of the charts somehow or turn them into SVG format so I can easily stretch them when I have to copy and paste a chart from one place to another

Anyone have any solutions for this?

Create them at a higher resolution (which of course requires more data to make it meaningful).

If you're going to print at 10x20" at 300dpi you will need to generate an image at 3000x6000 pixels for example.
