adjusting tick marks dynamically

haven't really got my question answered. doesn't anybody know how to do this? I am working w/ intraday data that may span multiple trading days. The problem is user can enter a single day, or multiple days to be returned to plot. I can't seem to find an easy way to adjust the tickmarks so that they are spaced correctly. Oviously one can go down to a very low level, but doesn't the api support a clean way of doing this?

yah.. i too need help in this regard.

i wanted to control the lines. i am using 0.9.21
and trying to dig into open source code so that if something
can be changed to achieve a solution to my problem
