other open source licenses

Is there any hope of releasing JFreeChart under the MIT, Apache, or Eclipse licenses? I'm no longer allowed to use LGPL libraries, and I'd rather not rewrite my code to use a different chart library.

Hi,

At various times I've been asked if I could provide alternative licensing for JFreeChart, most often by companies that would like to pay for a commercial license. The difficulty is that there are around 90 contributors to JFreeChart (in total) and I have never asked them to assign copyright for their contributions. So changing the license would require contacting all these people and getting their permission for the license change (or removing or replacing their contributions). That would be a time consuming task, and it's unlikely to happen...even though I understand the benefits to people that would like to avoid the LGPL one way or another.

Great product. Well, done. I'm kind of bummed though because we can't use LGPL code at all. If it were apache, we'd go great guns.
