I have a couple of files that I, in my arrogance, believe might be helpful in the overall effort. How do I submit them? I tried just sending them to david.gilbert@bigfoot.com but they bounced.

Sorry to hear that your e-mail bounced. I'll see if I can find out why. In the meantime, if you send the files to david.gilbert@ntlworld.com (my current "real" e-mail address - Bigfoot is a forwarding service that gives you one e-mail address for life).
I'm always glad to receive code submissions, especially as I haven't been able to put much time into JFreeChart myself in the last couple of months.
