I suspect this is intended operation but I thought I would ask anyway. The dialvalueindicator gets clipped when placed outside the dial paint area. There are some cases where it would be nice for it to be visible in the underlying frame e.g. just below a 180 degree arcdialgauge, mainly to save space...
