Chart smoothing?

Post by snebben » Mon Aug 19, 2002 3:24 pm

Does JFreechart have any smoothing features in it or any planned for it? Has anyone done this with jfreechart?

Thanks for your comments!

I'm not sure exactly what you are after. There is some code that a developer has posted for polynomial trend lines, is that the sort of thing you mean?

I am looking for something that will actually 'smooth' the chart lines. Right now, a chart appears jagged from point to point, I would like it to flow more (kind of like it does on the demo charts using cos or sin values).

The link you gave me will help. It's close to what I would like to do.
Thanks,
Stacey
