What happened to zoom?

I recently downloaded and installed jfreechart-0.8.1 after great success with version 0.7.4. I noticed that the zoom feature on XY plots was missing. So I ran JFreeChartDemo and looked at the XY plot demo in each version, and the zoom seems to be missing in the new release. Has something changed, or is something broken? I'll try to go under the hood to answer this, but if someone else has run into this, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Thanks!
