Dual axes Stacked Bar chart

Hi!

I am currently displaying two datasets using a Dual axis bar Chart, similar to DualAxisDemo5.java

Now my first dataset (series1 in demo) can be split into several categories so I would like to display it as a stacked chart but leave the second dataset (series 2 in demo) displayed as a normal bar chart. Can you please let me know what the best way to achieve this?

I think you can do this by using the GroupedStackedBarRenderer. Here's a demo that I'll add to the collection included with the JFreeChart Developer Guide for the 1.0.11 release:

HI David,

Thanks for your quick reply I think this is exactly what I need. However, I have a few questions about the implementation:

Why is this necessary?

In your example you have 2 datasets, one of them is a stacked bar based on 2 subsets. How do I set the datasets if I have more subsets, say 2 datasets and the fist dataset contains 5 subsets

In addition to this, I can have different series for each category
i.e Series 1 Series 2 Series 3 for category 1
Series 4, 5 for category 2
Series 4,5,6 for category 3

etc

does it change the way I create the datasets

Dual Axis 2 stacked Bar

Hi David,

I am trying two stacked bar dual axis using demo6 as the base, but I can't make it happen.
I have 2 dataset works fine by itself in a single stacked bar, without those null and dummy entry. Since dataset is generated dynamically, to mimic null entry is a bit funny, isn't it?

It seems the dual axis needs to be more flexible and can simply use 2 dataset which normally works by itself, that'd be cool!
