Hi. It seems that JFreeChart is rather dead for last year (or more?). Patches in the bug tracker filed over the last year were not responded to by the JFreeChart team. Are there any official standpoint wrt. to the future development of JFreeChart library?

No offence meant . I understand that development and maintenance of such product is an uneasy job but would be nice to know some future plans if there are any.

Might be it would be worthwhile to migrate the repository to the GitHub where coordination of patches would be easier? Letting people to fork easily and pulling patches by maintainer back from their branches as well?

Im new to jFreechart, and im student study in University in Malaysia. i've look at the sample which i wish to do a XYShapeRenderer, however i facing some difficulty in using this and i get this error message :
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.jfree.chart.renderer.xy.XYShapeRenderer.setAutoPopulateSeriesShape(Z)V
Im not sure what the problem, can tell me how to solve it ? or is is you have any example which can help me understand how to use XYShapeRenderer, with XYPlot ?I heard that there was a developer guide, but im just a student, can't afford to buy it. i wish i can just know how to use it for XYShapeRenderer only..
