Anyone Working On Gantt Chart

Post by Roger Studner » Thu Jul 11, 2002 5:09 pm

I was wondering who is doing work on the Gantt Chart. I saw Ed's name in the documentation, but am not sure how to get in touch with him (you hah).

Anyway, I'm looking to extend the functionality to allow for multiple time periods to be associated with a category (so, unlike Micro$oft Project or other scheduling tools... I'd like to be able to have 2 or more 'bars' per category/item).

Let me know if work is being done on this.. if so, i'll help if I can be of any service. Also, I haven't been able to spend a great deal of time really becomming familiar with all of the details of JFreeChart, but if there has at least been some 'research' as to why this type of functionality might be a real pain to implement.. I'd like to hear any comments along those lines as well.

Thanks so much for your time, and lets keep JFreeChart growing =)

Hi Roger,

I've been sent some code for this...I'll hopefully have time tomorrow to get it committed to the CVS repository on SourceForge.

David,

I can not find it. Is it on CVS? When are you going to upload it?

JFreeChart is a very good program!

I haven't had a chance to look through the code yet...but I've uploaded the file to:

http://www.object-refinery.com/jfreechart/jbuild6.jar

The jar file contains source code.

DG.
