tick label at top of plot

Post by Ron Moore » Thu Sep 12, 2002 8:44 pm

Hi,

Is there a way to force a y-axis tick label to appear at the very top of a plot?
I like the automatically-determined tick
sizes, but I would like the autorange max value to be larger such that a tick label
would appear at the top of the plot.

Thanks,

Ron

Hi Ron,

This is not possible with the current code, but I will add your request to the to-do list as it is a good idea.

I'd like to be able to put the ticks at the origin of the plot, but the labels at the bottom. For example, the y-axis runs from -100 to 100, the x-axis is a date series. I'd like to be able to put the ticks on the 0-line in y, but the labels below the plot still. I can't see this functionality in the current code, but it would be really handy. It would also be very handy to put the tick marks on both the bottom and the top of the plot, etc.

Thanks,
John
