setSeriesRunningTotal needs to be public method?

Hello,
I am extending the WaterfallRenderer class and want to override the drawItem method. And if the setSeriesRunningTotal method in CategoryItemRendererState is not public, I cant set the position of where the block needs to start.

Is there another way to set the SeriesRunningTotal or does the method needs to be public.

Im getting in trouble with exaclty the same problem...
would be nice to have it public soon....
