October documentation sales

Post by Dave Gilbert » Fri Nov 01, 2002 10:28 am

Hi all,

Documentation sales in October were the highest they've ever been, so thanks to everyone that has supported this initiative. One consequence of this is that I'll be able to spend even more time on developing JFreeChart during November.

I've also begun offering a "priority development service" for JFreeChart. The idea is that if you require a new feature urgently, and you don't want to code it yourself, you can get me to do it for you. The catch, of course, is that it will cost you money. I'm charging US$300 per day for the service, there's a short blurb about it on the JFreeChart home page.

Don't get me wrong though. I'll still keep working on requested features, bug fixes and other enhancements to JFreeChart, partly on my own time and partly on time funded by the documentation sales. The service above just gives you the opportunity to control the priorities if you *need* to.

Finally, let me say thanks to everyone who has been involved with the JFreeChart project. All the feedback, the bug reports, the feature requests and the code contributions are slowly turning JFreeChart into something much better than I first imagined...

Regards,

DG
