Quadratic Axis

You have support for linear and logarithmic axes, but is there any thought of including a quadratic axis in the near future?

Has anyone already built something like this they could share?

Do you have a good, online reference for what a quadratic axis is? I did a Google search, but most of the hits were to academic papers. A picture would also be helpful.
