I'm building a foreign exchange ( FOREX ) markets portal www.moneytec.com and would love to have JFreeChart intergrated within the portal but I'm a complete newbe to all this but can have some set it up" I hope.. What I do need to know is will I need to supply the foreign exchange ( FOREX ) market data?

Yes, you need to supply your own data. The demo charts have a small amout of FX data hard-coded into the demo application...
