ist it possible to generate image maps for the chart image ?

There's nothing there yet. I'm only vaguely aware of what an image map is, and have never tried creating one...but I think there would be sufficient information being returned in the ChartRenderingInfo class to help with the construction. It's on the (very long) to-do list...

image maps are important for using the images in HTML or JSP pages
with image maps each area (bars, stacked bars...) can get a diffrent link (URL)...
