Release Plan for JFreeChart 1.2?

I wonder what the status of the JFreeChart 1.2 development stream would be? Any idea when 1.2 will be released? Any plans to merge recent changes/fixes from the SVN 1.0.x branch to trunk?

Hi Christoph,

I'm in the middle of moving house, so things will be a little slow in the next few weeks. But it is my plan to get JFreeChart 1.2.0 up-to-date (including making sure that all 1.0.x updates are included in 1.2.0 where that makes sense) and out-the-door in the next couple of months. Sorry for the delay, I had hoped this would have happened before the end of 2007.

Yes. The code in Subversion trunk should be up-to-date at the moment (I did some merging a couple of months ago), so I will make a 1.2.0-pre1 release shortly (if not this week then when I get back from the Devoxx conference). I'd like to do a series of releases in the early part of 2009 before I freeze the API, because there are a couple of things that I'd like to fix that will require some further API changes. But I will try not to go overboard on that, as I think it would be better to get 1.2.0 "done" and then save the bigger changes for JFreeChart 2.0.

2008 has not been a good year for my productivity...I need to work on that for 2009! Thanks for your patience.
